Woodland Grove
Tucked away in a secluded corner of the field this romantic setting is perfect for a blessing or hand-fasting. With a natural altar and arbour, straw baled seating, fairy lit trees and a beautiful stream surrounding the area with a picturesque bridge, this truly is a unique place to tie the knot.
Meet our family
We are a family run business. The Eight Acre Field is set within our farm near Sevenoaks in Kent which has been in the family for 25 years. We created ELLK to share our unique space and concept with other like-minded couples and families and we are very excited to welcome them to the farm to make it their own and turn their wishes into a reality too.
We pride ourselves with being trustworthy, friendly and thoughtful to our clients. What sets us apart is our truly bespoke and personal events, welcoming you all to our family.
Making Dreams a reality
I am a farm girl through and through and spent my childhood playing at the farm and adventuring in the fields. My passion for animals and nature stems from this time and led me to university in Liverpool and gaining my degree in Zoology.
This is where I discovered my flair for event planning as the chairman of the RAG (Raise and Give) Charitable Society. I became skilled in organising a variety of events to fundraise for a wide selection of charities and enjoyed the creative side of each one the most. Watching your ideas become a reality is so exciting and entertaining a room full of people with said reality is even better.
I then returned home to Kent, settled down and upon my engagement I started making my childhood dream of getting married in the woods at home a real option. My husband Pete and I, along with my large and skilful family created a weekend wedding to remember. Using all the amazing creations from the weekend ELLK was born.
Horses are still my passion and I ride as much as possible. I also love to craft and create, walk my dogs Barney and Meeko, watch films with my husband and daughter and travel to embark on new adventures.

The freedom of the outdoors
I have worked in several sectors from hospitality to financial and have always been commended for my organisation and hard work. I know these traits are invaluable when creating events and enjoy using them to execute every last detail.
I started helping with ELLK when Alex was creating her own amazing wedding in 2015. It was so satisfying seeing a vision come to life and look magical. To help others dreams become reality is truly wonderful. When I am not working on ELLK I am a full time mummy to two amazing children, well three if you include our pooch Arlo. My daughter Harper is 6 and my son Alfie is 2. My fiancé Tim is super supportive of ELLK and is always our muscles for moving all our heavy items!
I have always loved the outdoors and the freedom it creates. I used to be a horse riding instructor and horses have always been a huge part of my life since a little girl. The fields are where I spent most of my childhood from dusk till dawn exploring the woods and river and coming home looking like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards, well most the time I actually had! We are very lucky to have grown up on the farm and it is an honour to be able to share this very special place as a venue for other families’ extraordinary events.
